June 26, 2019, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Webinar
This webinar by MCPC and DVRPC will introduce municipal officials, design professionals, and citizens to Montgomery County’s proposed Complete Streets policy and how it may affect local roadway design in communities. Complete Streets take into account all ages and abilities, providing safe use for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit riders.
MCPC, working with a host of public, non-profit, and industry leaders, is developing the policy for county-owned roads, bridges, and facilities. The policy will direct the county to incorporate Complete Streets principles into its own projects as well as advocate for them when working with partner agencies on their projects, whether public or private.
The webinar will focus on the elements of the policy and how the policy will benefit communities. An opportunity to comment on the draft policy will be available following the webinar at www.montcopa.org/CompleteStreetsPolicy.
