NORRISTOWN, PA – Montgomery County Roads and Bridges Department announced today that Lutheran Road Bridge (#163) in New Hanover Township is now open to vehicular traffic for the start of the school year.
Work was completed four months ahead of schedule due to diligent procurement work to secure prefabricated concrete structures to expedite opening the bridge. The bridge was closed in April 2022 following a PennDOT inspection.
Other ongoing projects in the area include restoration of the Swamp Pike bridge and paving the remaining section of Swamp Pike. These improvements are funded by Montgomery County Motor Vehicle Fund.
