This free event will be highlighted by a moderated panel discussion featuring various manufacturers in the county who will talk about the issues they experience and how municipalities can support manufacturing businesses.
This jointly sponsored event with the Montgomery County Commerce Department will also explore the overall vision of the county to enable a diverse manufacturing sector. Attendees will also have an opportunity to see the new and innovative Ambler Yards project, where the adaptive reuse of a former chemical production site is now home to a cutting-edge business campus that includes design firms, co-working spaces, 3D printing, and warehousing.
This event is being provided as part of Planning Smarter Montco 2018, a Montgomery County initiative offering planning education and outreach, and corresponds to the Vibrant Economy theme contained in Montco 2040: A Shared Vision, Montgomery County’s comprehensive plan. Please note: Construction is occurring at Ambler Yards, and the main gate is not accessible. Click on the above link to seeing where to park and how to get to building 18, which is the location of our event. You will be parking in Lot 3, located along N. Spring Garden Street. Follow the pathway that runs along the street. When you get to the far side of the single-family detached home on the property, turn right and continue to follow the pathway to building 18. We will have signage along the walkway and in front of the building 18 entrance. After entering building 18, take the elevator or the staircase (both on the left) to go downstairs to the community room for the event.
