The Office of Children & Youth was fortunate to receive many very generous donations of backpacks and school supplies from community members, businesses and partners who assist us in sending children with the Office of Children & Youth back to school with the necessary supplies they need to have a successful school year. A very special thank you to the following extremely generous friends of OCY:
DSM Services in King of Prussia, Coordinator Daryl MacKeverican
fiserv. in King of Prussia, Coordinator Susan Clausen
MBA Women in the Law, Coordinators Rebecca Cantor and Kathleen Martin
Mom’s Club of Norriton, Coordinator Kim Mayer
North Penn United Way’s Stuff the Bus Program, Coordinator Betsy Roush
St. Titus Parish, Coordinator Melissa Barrett
Your donations help us to support over 350 children in foster care and over 2,000 children being served in their own homes. Many of our children need assistance in obtaining necessary school supplies for the starting school year. The supplies go a long way in helping a child hold their head up high at back-to-school time. Today’s onus on parents to provide notebooks, pens, pencils, glue, crayons, markers, etc. can be an overwhelming burden for some and arriving without the needed supplies can cause a child to feel unequal with his or her peers. Thanks to all of you, our children are ready for school just like their classmates! Thank you!
