MontcoPA offers limited County and Court Operations Beginning 3/18/2020Montgomery County Court and Department operations will be available on a limited basis beginning Wednesday, March 18th.Montgomery County created a limited operation schedule to address the COVID 19 public health emergency and limit the risk of disease and transmission.Check the individual webpage for each department for more information.For any employee or member of the public that MUST come to our buildings, please be sure to practice safe distancing, good hygiene, and know that our buildings all are under an enhanced cleaning protocol to assist in minimizing risk.o The Montgomery County Human Services Center, 1430 DeKalb Street, Norristown, is closed to the public. o Willow Grove, Pottstown, and Lansdale Offices are closed to the public and employees.o One Montgomery Plaza, 425 Swede Street, Norristown, is closed to the public. o Common Pleas EMERGENCY functions will be limited to the Courthouse ONLY. o Court hours are restricted to 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. o Temporary PFA processing will stop at 1 p.m. daily o The Court’s Filing Offices (Prothonotary, Clerk of Courts, Clerk of the Orphans’ Court) will be CLOSED to the public, except to process any filings related to the EMERGENCY MATTERS permitted by the Court’s Order. o Preliminary Hearings for incarcerated defendants at the MDJ level WILL BE conducted by means of videoconferencing. o Domestic Relations Office will now be CLOSED to the public. On-line filings ONLY will continue to be accepted. o Correctional facility visits are cancelled. o County Detective Bureau Operational—Addressing Public Safety Issues o Adult Probation and Juvenile Probation is suspending all home visits and direct community supervision contacts. Contacts will continue via phone, Facetime, texting and/or emails. o Youth Center visits reduced to one day a week. Screening protocol implemented. o Health and Human Services will continue children and senior protective services investigations. o Navicates in the Office of Community Connections are available to speak with if you need helping getting connected to any of our County Health & Human Services or community resources – 610-278-3522. o HHS is working with the state to provide telehealth methods to continue mental health and drug and alcohol services. o Veteran Shuttle program has been suspended. Other Veteran benefit services will be available online and through telephone. o Passports applications will be suspended. o Recorder of Deeds is working with the state to extend notary expiration dates. o Human Resources will continue to take on-line applicationso Archives will be closed to the public. o Our fiscal and purchasing department is working remotely and will continue to submit orders and provide payments to providers.
