Join Montgomery County's Election Board Chair Ken Lawrence; Chief Clerk Lee Soltysiak and Director of Elections Dori Sawyer as they answer your questions regarding voter registration, applying for an absentee or mail-in ballot, becoming a poll worker & more!
Your County leaders will also give an overview of important dates & information every Montgomery County Voter should know ahead of the November 8th election. Each panelist will speak for a few minutes and then hold a question and answer session with residents who are on the call.

Commissioner Ken Lawrence
Commissioner Lawrence is the Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Elections. The Board of Elections oversees the administration of the election process in the County, including the polling locations, ballots, voting machines, and campaign expense report filings. As Chair of the Election Board, Commissioner Lawrence led the County’s purchase of a new voting system in 2019 and the implementation of mail-in ballots in 2020. Commissioner Lawrence has also initiated new efforts to recruit poll workers by speaking with civic groups, colleges and high schools across the County.
Lee Soltysiak is a graduate of Philadelphia University graduate and has over 20 years of work experience in civil service. He has spent the last 10 years with Montgomery County and became the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Clerk of the Election Board in 2018. The Chief Operating Officer is the administrator for the Board of County Commissioners and manages county government affairs on a day-to-day basis. As Chief Clerk of the Election Board, Lee serves as the liaison between the Commissioners and the Director of Elections and assists with resource allocation, interdepartmental networking and operational support on Election Day.
Dori Sawyer is the Director of Elections for Montgomery County, overseeing teams that manage Voter Registration, Mail-In Balloting, Campaign Finance, Election Personnel, Voting Equipment and our Polling Location Coordination. She grew up in Montgomery County and has a background in Advertising and Operations Management.
