DATE #1: Tuesday, December 7, 2021 - 12:00 p.m. DATE #2: Wednesday, December 8, 2021 - 6:30 p.m. LOCATION: Free Webinar on Zoom
Montgomery County is holding an initial meeting in the process of updating its hazard mitigation plan, and we invite you to participate via Zoom on either Tuesday, December 7, at 12:00 p.m. or Wednesday, December 8, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is scheduled on two dates to provide for greater participation; the same agenda will be covered at both meetings. Please register for one of the two dates.
The focus of the meeting will be to provide an introduction to hazard mitigation planning and explore hazards that have affected your community in the past decade. Municipal representatives and community residents are encouraged to attend and provide pertinent information. Participation in the planning process and adoption of the plan enables the municipality to apply for grant funding for projects to reduce disaster risk to residents and buildings. Your input on threats and hazards in your community will result in a more comprehensive plan.
Please note: This meeting is not a part of the county’s Hurricane Ida response. For information on assistance and relief efforts pertaining to Hurricane Ida, please visit https://www.montcopa.org/3878/Hurricane-Ida.
