CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Friendly Calls

Our Friendly Call Program offers a connection between senior volunteers and older adults in our community who may be homebound, isolated, and lonely.

Confidential phone calls are made by volunteers from your own home. Call times are flexible and can be arranged to suit your schedule. A call from a volunteer who listens and cares is comforting and reassuring to many seniors.

Health and Wellness Program Support

This volunteer opportunity will assist OSS staff with the delivery of Health and Wellness Programs in the community which includes registration of participants for class, promotion of classes in the community or at senior centers, providing assistance with fall risk assessments, and acting as spotters for exercise classes.

Health and Wellness Programs take place throughout the county at various locations. Time commitment will be flexible based on class schedules. Classes usually range from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours for sessions.
