Effective immediately, Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Rachel Levine issued an amended order related to travelers entering PA. The Montgomery County Office of Public Health (OPH) offers a brief summary below:
Travelers over age 11 entering or re-entering PA from locations outside the Commonwealth must produce evidence of a negative COVID-19 test or place themselves in travel quarantine for 10 days upon entering without testing, or place themselves in quarantine until receiving negative test results.
If someone cannot get a test or chooses not to, they must quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in PA.
There are exceptions to this Order as it does not apply to:
Individuals traveling for the purposes of work.
Individuals returning from outside PA after traveling less than 24 hours.
Individuals traveling for medical reasons, including those providing patient comfort.
Military personnel traveling to PA by military directive.
Individuals in transit through PA.
Individuals traveling to comply with a court order, such as child custody, or other exemptions issued by guidance.
