Montgomery County Complete Count Committee (CCC) - (See below for volunteer information)
Who We Are
Our committee is made up of a variety of trusted community leaders from education, business, healthcare, and other public and private sectors and organizations. They help us build awareness and recruit volunteers to spread the word about Census 2020 through their networks. A critical focus of the CCC will be an outreach to hard-to-count groups such as foreign-born residents, those with limited English proficiency, children under five years of age, low-income residents, minority populations, homeless populations, college students, and those with low literacy.
Our CCC is led by Valerie A. Arkoosh, MD, MPH, Chair, Montgomery County Board of Commissioners and four co-chairs, who collaborate with nine subcommittees. The subcommittees work with many other individuals and groups to reach the widest range of residents possible. The CCC holds regular strategic planning meetings, which includes identifying funding sources to help support our efforts to maximize Census participation and outcomes.
We need you!
With just a 5% undercount in 2020, we could potentially lose $72,336,780 in funding for Montgomery County for critical services like Medicaid, SNAP, head start programs, housing vouchers, highway planning and construction, and much more.
