Summer Concert Series: Deja Groove Band

Join us for an evening of music in the park.  Come out to Green Lane Park’s free summer concert series featuring the Deja Groove Band.  Deja Groove has become one of Philadelphia's favorite wedding bands, delivering high-energy renditions of today's music, along with your favorite Top 40, Motown & Old-School hits.  They also cover jazz instrumental favorites from the  standards to the contemporary.  They play the music that creates the ambiance you want.  Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. All ages; free.

“Bugs and Blooms” Photography Outing

The park’s meadows are alive with blooming wildflowers and a host of insect visitors. This program allows participants a chance to hone their macro-photography skills on living subjects. Photographers of all skill levels welcome!  Our target species will be bees and butterflies, but you may be surprised at all the amazing creatures that rely on native plants.  Meet at Fly-fishing area (1023 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041)  Ages 9 to adult; free.

Tree ID Made Easy

Don’t know a beech from a birch?  Join us for a close up look at our native trees and shrubs.  We will use leaves, bark, fruit and other clues to learn how to identify woody plants with confidence.  We will also learn some fun facts about the uses of these plants in past and modern times.  Program will meet outside Park Office (2144 Snyder Road, Green Lane PA 18054). Pre-registration required.  Ages 9 to adult; free.

9th Annual Upper Perkiomen Bird & Wildlife Festival

Bring the entire family out for a day of fun and learning at Green Lane Park. This event features environmental exhibits, free hayrides, live animal presentations, live music, food and merchandise vendors, and much more.   Visit our Eco-raffle table to win cool merchandise donated by local vendors. The event will be held in the amphitheater area of Green Lane Park (2298 Green Lane Road, Green Lane, PA 18054). Come celebrate the rich wildlife heritage of our region at this important community event.   All ages; free.

Star and Sky Watch

Join members of the Bucks Mont Astronomical Association for an evening under the stars.  Using telescopes and other optics, they will share their vast knowledge of the night sky with participants. NOTE- in the event of rain or extensive cloud cover, the program will be rescheduled for Thursday October 24th at 6:30 pm.  Program will meet in Red Trail parking lot (2005 Knight Road, Green Lane, PA 18054).

Flight of the Falcon – Live Birds of Prey

Cheryl Heimbach of Baywing Falconry returns with her amazing birds of prey program.  Join her as she unravels the life history and ecology of hawks, falcons and owls. Learn about the special adaptations of these highly adapted aerial hunters. At least one of the birds will be flying.  Meet near park amphitheater. (2298 Green Lane Road, Green Lane, PA 18054)  All ages; free.

Haunted Hayride

Join us for our 2nd Annual Haunted Hayride in the park. Enjoy a hayride through our spooktacular and creepy campground.  Festive crafts and tasty snacks will also be offered at this family-friendly event.  NO pre-registration needed.  All ages; free.

Earlybird Walk

Join us for a closer look at fall migrant songbirds, raptors and others in the Green Lane Park IBA and neighboring property.  We will visit THE local hotspot for migrant songbirds, especially the sparrows. Wear waterproof boots, as the morning dew is heavy in the fall. Pre-registration required.  Bring binoculars and meet at fly-fishing area on Church Road. (1023 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041).  Ages 9 and up; free.

Holiday Craft Workshops

Join us for one workshop or both if you like. At 10:00 a.m., we will be focusing on “Holiday Centerpieces”.  We will use cones, nuts and pods from nature to make this craft to adorn your table. At 1:00 p.m. our workshop will be “Winsome Woodland Creatures” all made from natural materials. NOTE- we have other craft projects available, and skilled instructors happy to help you get creative. No previous crafting experience needed!   Bring a hot glue gun or borrow one of ours. Spaces are limited, pre-registration required. Program will meet at Stone Pavilion (2115 Snyder Road, Green Lane, PA 18054).  Ages 12 and up. Materials fee of $8 per person, per workshop.

Waterfowl Watch

Join us for a look at waterfowl migration in one of Pennsylvania’s premier birding locations.  Ducks, geese, swans and other birds are winging their way south at this time, and Green Lane Park is a favorite stop-over along the way.  Bring binoculars and meet at Tennis Court Parking Lot (2298 Green Lane Road, Green Lane, PA 18054)  Ages 9 and up; free.

More Holiday Crafts

Our holiday craft programs conclude for the season as we create “Kissing Balls” from local nuts, pods and cones. While this will be our primary focus, participants can choose from other craft projects including centerpieces, pine cone wreaths, and several other choices. No previous experience needed, let our crafty volunteers walk you through any of the projects!  Bring a hot glue gun or borrow one of ours. Spaces are limited, pre-registration required. Program will meet at Stone Pavilion (2115 Snyder Road, Green Lane, PA 18054).
Ages 12 and up. Materials fee of $8 per person.
