Green Lane Park

Green Lane Park, in northwestern Montgomery County, offers a variety of year-round, outdoor activities and programs for people to choose from. Park visitors can enjoy fishing, boating (including boat rentals), family and group camping, picnicking, 25 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking, as well as two children's playgrounds. Winter enthusiasts can cross-country ski, ice fish or go ice skating. The park also offers summer concerts and movies, and family-oriented, environmental education programs on weekends.  Park Hours are 6:00 am-sunset, daily.

The park consists of over 3400 acres and three bodies of water totaling 870 acres. Boat racks are available at the Walt Road Day Use Area and Deep Creek Lake. Boat Rentals are available at the Hill Road Day Use Area. ALL BOAT RENTALS ARE OPERATED/MANAGED BY A PRIVATE, OUTSIDE RENTAL COMPANY. The Deep Creek Lake Area offers overnight camping (primitive only) for families, organized groups and equestrians. ALL CAMPING is by reservation only and fees apply. Camping Info & Rules


The park offers several picnic areas for families and groups. Tables and charcoal grills are available around Deep Creek Lake and at the Hill Road Day Use Area. Groups may also reserve picnic pavilions for reunions, birthday parties or other special functions.  For more information, or to make a pavilion reservation, please contact the park office at (215) 234-4528.

There are several miles of nature trails that attract hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians to enjoy the natural beauty of the seasons.  Green Lane Park Trail Map

Leashed pets are welcome in the park but are restricted from entering any of the creeks or lake waters.
