IMMEDIATE RELEASE:                                                                                        JANUARY 28, 2008

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Pottstown Borough Police Chief Mark D. Flanders announce the arrest of Cornell SHAWELL, age 29 of 614 Chestnut Street, Pottstown for the murder of his cousin Garrow Trevor Lightbourn. The defendant is charged with First Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder, Possession of Instruments of Crime and Flight to Avoid Apprehension.

At 10:06 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2008 Pottstown Police responded to the Bright Hope Estates for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival police found Lightbourn lying on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
