The Eastern Center For Arts & Technology serves nine public school districts. The programs offered at the Terwood Road campus provide these nine districts with many options that would be prohibitively expensive if offered by the
individual districts. The school serves both secondary and adult students. The programs offered are primarily for the purpose of preparing students for the world of work or assisting adults in upgrading and expanding their work-related skills. Below is a listing of the school districts associated with the center and the various courses offered.

*These programs are designed to primarily serve secondary school students in grades 11 and 12. However, adults may enroll in these programs on a space-available basis through the Adult and Continuing Education Division. There is a tuition charge for adults attending the programs.

Engineering Technology
**These three courses are offered by Penn State University for grade 12 students. Students completing these courses receive 8, 7 and 6 credits respectively on a Penn State transcript which are transferable to other institutions.
Adult Day Programs: All programs offered in the secondary school are available to county residents during the day on a space-available basis at a reasonable tuition rate. In addition, a Practical Nursing Program is available with two options: (1) A full-time, 12-month Nursing Program. The program includes clinical experiences at Abington Memorial and Holy Redeemer Hospitals along with St. Josephs Manor. (2) A two-year, part-time Practical Nursing Program. Students attend two evenings a week for class and every other Saturday and Sunday for clinical experiences through the aforementioned institutions.
Graduates of either program are eligible to sit for the state licensing examination. Qualified graduates can receive 18 college credits toward an Associates Degree in Nursing from the Montgomery County Community College.
Continuing Education Programs: Continuing education programs are offered in a variety of areas. Computer classes provide training to students using state-of-the-art technology on topics such as computer basics, word processing, spreadsheets and database applications. Internet topics, Visual Basic programming and AutoCAD are also offered.
Other programs are designed to develop new work skills. Computer graphics (QuarkXPress and Adobe Illustrator), digital photography, IIVAC, and ServSafe Food Handling Certification are also offered.
Automotive Technology: Eastern currently offers PennDOTs complete Auto-Emissions Repair Technician Certification training courses; F.I.R.S.T. and F.D.G.E. Safety Inspection Certification is also offered. These courses can be conducted at Eastern or at appropriate Certified Inspection Facilities.
Apprenticeship Training: In conjunction with the United States Department of Labor, Eastern is the countys leading center for apprentice training. In addition to providing apprenticeship classes in Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and Tool & Die, the school also develops customized apprentice training programs for industry.
Customized Training Programs for Business & Industry: Eastern develops training partnerships with businesses to create and deliver customized technical training programs that meet specific needs of a particular business. Programs can be offered at Eastern or at the companys site. The school can also work with businesses to apply for state funding for job training programs which meet certain requirements.
