BRYN ATHYN
|
![]() Bryn Athyn was formed from what was then Moreland Township on February 8, 1916. During this time, strong religious beliefs helped to push for the creation of an independent borough. The boroughs two square miles include a large amount of open space and woodlands. Three of its largest institutions, the Academy of the New Church, the Bryn Athyn Church School, and the New Church College, occupy more of its real estate than do its residents. The Bryn Athyn Cathedral is a beautiful example of the fine architecture that is found in the borough. Some Bryn Athyn addresses may actually be located in Upper or Lower Moreland Township.
