Montgomery Awards
Excellence in Planning and Design

The Montgomery Awards recognize the best in planning, design, and advocacy in Montgomery County. This annual program promotes awareness of outstanding design and innovative planning in our communities by awarding successful land developments, revitalization efforts, open space enhancements, environmental sustainability, and transportation improvements. The program acknowledges the high quality of work and commitment of communities, organizations, and professionals in contributing to these exceptional projects. Since 1967, the program has awarded over 180 projects.

The program also offers a new Planning Advocate Award. This award recognizes citizens, appointed/elected officials or boards, and community organizations that have made significant and sustained contributions to advancing or promoting planning in Montgomery County. All award recipients are honored at an annual awards presentation. Contact Barry Jeffries at 610-278-3444 for information on the program.
