FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:                JUNE 9, 2006

 

 

          District Attorney Bruce L. Castor, Jr. announces the arrests of the remaining conspirators in the Mastronardo Bookmaking case. The defendants, along with the names of their attorneys, are detailed below.

 

Magisterial District Judge Walter Gadzicki arraigned the following defendants on Monday, June 5th at 10:00 AM and set bail in the amount of $50,000 unsecured for each:

 

1.  Ponteleone Belardino (Nicholas Mancini, Esquire)

2.  Thomas Chiantese (Nicholas Mancini, Esquire)

3.  Edward Feighan (Robert Goldman, Esquire)

 

 

Magisterial District Judge Walter Gadzicki arraigned the following defendants on Tuesday, June 6th at 10:00 AM and set bail in the amount of $50,000 unsecured for each:

 

1.     Duong Bui (unrepresented, applied for public defender)

2.     Brian Burke (Frank DiSimone, Esquire)

3.     Joseph Cardella (Tom Bello, Esquire)

4.     Kenneth Cohen (Tom Bello, Esquire)

5.     Ba Huynh (unrepresented, applied for public defender)

6.     Bryan Marion (Frank DiSimone, Esquire)

7.     Nickolas Marsilio (Tom Bello, Esquire)

8.     Connell McConeghy (Tom Bello, Esquire)

9.     Mark Mitchell (Elizabeth Lippy, Esquire, attorney)

10.   Hung Pham (Bill Moore, Esquire)

11.   Hau Tran (Michael John, Esquire)

12.   Schuyler C. Twaddle (Tom Bello, Esquire)

13.   Eric Woehlcke (Tom Bello, Esquire)

 

 

 

All defendants, with the exception of Ponteleone Belardino,  Thomas Chiantese, Duong Bui and Ba Huynh waived their preliminary hearings.   The remaining preliminary hearings are tentatively scheduled for June 15, 2006 before District Judge Gadzicki.

 

Deputy District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Assistant District Attorney Douglas Rosenblum will prosecute the cases.
